Privacy Policy for Focus Pomodoro Bot

This Privacy Policy describes how Focus Pomodoro Bot (the "Bot", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Telegram bot and associated web services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Telegram User Information: When you interact with the Bot, we receive your Telegram User ID, first name, last name, and language code as provided by Telegram.
• User-Generated Content: We store information you provide to the Bot, including:
  • Project names and their status (active/done).
  • Task names, their associated project, and their status (active/done).
  • Content of messages you forward to the bot to create tasks.
• Pomodoro Session Data: We log details about your Pomodoro work and break sessions, including:
  • Start time and end time of sessions.
  • Duration of work or break.
  • Session type (work/break).
  • Completion status (whether a full Pomodoro cycle was completed or stopped early).
  • Association with your selected project and task.
• Google Account Information (Optional - for Google Sheets Integration):
  • If you choose to use the Google Sheets export feature, we will request your authorization to access your Google account.
  • We request access to your basic profile information (email address) to identify your Google account.
  • We request permission to access and modify your Google Spreadsheets (specifically, to create new sheets and append data to sheets you specify or are created by the Bot on your behalf).
  • We securely store the OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens provided by Google to maintain this connection. We do not store your Google password.
• Configuration Data: Your preferred language for the Bot and web timer interface, and if applicable, your Google Sheet ID for exports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Bot's functionalities (project/task management, Pomodoro timers, reporting).
• To personalize your experience, such as setting the language.
• To store and retrieve your data (projects, tasks, sessions) as per your actions.
• To enable the Google Sheets export feature if you choose to use it.
• To communicate with you regarding the Service, including sending timer notifications and responding to your queries.
• For administrative purposes, such as notifying the administrator of new user registrations or errors (if configured).

3. Data Storage and Security

• Your project, task, and session data are stored in a SQLite database located on the server where the Bot is hosted.
• Google OAuth 2.0 tokens are stored in this database. We take reasonable measures to protect this information, but please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
• The `credentials.json` file, containing Google Cloud client secrets, is stored on the server and is essential for the OAuth flow. It is not directly accessible to users.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• With Google: If you authorize Google Sheets integration, your session data will be sent to your Google Sheets as per your instructions. This interaction is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Service Providers: We may use third-party service providers for hosting the Bot and database. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

5. Your Rights and Choices

• You can manage your projects and tasks within the Bot, including deleting them. Deleting a project will also delete its associated tasks and session data.
• You can choose not to use the Google Sheets integration feature. If you have connected your Google account, you can revoke the Bot's access at any time through your Google account security settings.
• You can request the deletion of all your data by contacting the Bot administrator (see Contact Information).

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
